What is TEAM Dad?

Fathers and father-figures with a child age 3 or younger can get free education, training, and support on being a great dad, including help with:

  • Parenting and co-parenting
  • Improving child development
  • Building healthy family & community relationships
  • Workforce development & economic stability
  • Personal development

Why should I join?

Kids with involved dads do better in school, feel more confident, and grow up healthier and happier. They are:

  • 39% more likely to earn mostly A’s in school.
  • 45% less likely to repeat a grade.
  • 60% less likely to be suspended or expelled from school.

What is the TEAM Dad Program?

TEAM Dad is a fatherhood engagement and support program designed to empower and educate fathers and father figures to be active, informed, and confident parents. We focus on building strong families through responsible fatherhood, relationship skills, and parenting support.

Who can participate in TEAM Dad?

Any father or father figure in Osceola County can be eligible to join—whether you're expecting a baby, parenting a toddler (3 years or younger), co-parenting, or even supporting as a stepfather or relative.

Do I need to have custody of my child to join?

No. TEAM Dad welcomes all men who want to be involved in a child’s life, regardless of custody or living situation.

Is there a cost to join TEAM Dad?

No. The program is completely free.

What services does TEAM Dad offer?

TEAM Dad provides:

  • One-on-one coaching, mentoring, parenting and fatherhood education
  • Child-development education
  • Support with building healthy family and community relationships
  • Support with workforce development and economic stability
  • Co-parenting and relationship support
When and where are sessions held?

Sessions are held regularly at accessible locations in Osceola County. Days and times vary to accommodate work and family schedules. Ask our team for the current schedule.

How long does the program last?

The duration depends on your goals and availability. There are 12 sessions that make up the TEAM Dad program. Some participants complete all sessions in a few weeks while others take longer. We are here to accommodate you!

Will I get help with finding a job or other resources?

Yes. TEAM Dad helps connect participants to job training, employment support, GED programs, mental health counseling, and more based on individual needs.

How do I sign up for TEAM Dad?

Can community organizations refer dads to the program?

Yes. Referrals from partner agencies, schools, clinics, and other community groups are welcome with dad’s consent.

Do you offer home visiting services?

Yes. We provide home visiting through our Healthy Start and TEAM Dad programs.

Do you provide services for fathers?

Yes. We believe that involved fathers play a vital role in healthy child development and offer support and resources for fathers and father figures through our TEAM Dad program.
